Build things that matter,
from wherever you are.

Permission Report is built by Persimmon Systems, LLC — founded by David Kedron in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2022. We work remotely, communicate asynchronously, and care more about what you ship than where you sit.

How we work

We're a small, focused team, which means every person has real ownership, direct access to customers, and influence over the direction of the product. There's no layer of management between you and the work.

We build Permission Report — access management software that companies rely on when an audit is on the line. The problems are real, and the feedback loop is short: you'll see your work in production, not buried in a backlog. The story behind the product is on our About page.

We're based in Michigan but remote-first. We don't track hours or require camera-on standups. We care about clear communication, reliable delivery, and people who can manage their own time.

Remote-first, Michigan-based

Work from wherever makes you productive. US time zones preferred.

Async by default

We write things down instead of scheduling meetings. Deep work time is protected.

Modern stack, real problems

Laravel, Vue, Nuxt, and Tailwind. One product, one modern codebase.

Ship to production, not staging

Short cycles, real users, fast feedback. Your work matters from day one.

What we value

The things that don't change.

Built to be trusted

Permission Report is the system of record for other companies' audits. That bar — reliable, provable, honest — applies to everything we ship.

Say what you mean

Clear, honest communication — with clients and each other. If something is broken, say so. No posturing.

Curiosity over credentials

We care about what you can figure out, not where you went to school. Stay curious, dig into the unfamiliar.

Own the outcome

Everyone is responsible for the quality of what they ship. If something does not make sense, speak up before production.

Simplicity is a feature

The right solution is usually the simplest one that works. Clean code, clear architecture, done.

Respect people's time

No unnecessary meetings, no busywork. We trust each other to manage our own time and deliver when it matters.

Open positions

Current openings

No current openings

We don't have any open positions right now, but we're always interested in hearing from talented people. If you think you'd be a good fit, reach out — we'll keep you in mind.
